Program One
The Light Grant
Helping Families Carry the Financial Weight
The Light Grant is being created to provide compassionate financial assistance to families navigating pregnancy loss, infant loss, or child loss.
Support may help with:
- Funeral and memorial expenses
- Cremation or burial costs
- Headstones or memorial markers
- Meaningful keepsakes
- Other urgent expenses connected to the loss of a child
Who Qualifies for The Light Grant?
The Light Grant is currently available to qualifying Idaho families experiencing pregnancy loss, infant loss, or the death of a child under 18 years of age.
Families may be eligible if:
- They currently reside in Idaho.
- They have experienced pregnancy loss, infant loss, or the death of a child under 18 years of age.
- They are seeking assistance with an expense that falls within the current scope of The Light Grant.
- Funding is currently available through the Foundation.
Every family’s circumstances are different. If you’re unsure whether your family qualifies or whether an expense may be covered, we still encourage you to reach out. Applications will be reviewed with compassion, confidentiality, and care.
Grant applications will open as funding becomes available.
Program Two
The Family Circle
Every Child Deserves to Be Remembered
The Family Circle is available to families who would like their child’s life and story to continue being remembered.
Families may share their child’s name, birthday, angelversary, story, meaningful details, and preferred ways of receiving remembrance support.
With permission, The Light We Carry Foundation will use this information to honor children through birthday cards, angelversary remembrance, holiday outreach, and other meaningful acts of care.
Families do not need to receive financial assistance to join.
Program Three
The Light We Carry Walk & Run
Coming in the Future
The Light We Carry Walk & Run will bring families, friends, runners, walkers, and community supporters together to honor every story and every light.
Participants will have the opportunity to carry the name of a child they are honoring, while every submitted child’s name is displayed equally before the event begins.
